MANUSHI MICRO-CREDIT

Since 2002 Manushi been actively involved in micro-financing, providing loans to the poor and encouraging micro-enterprise development through skill trainings and workshops.

Our loans allow women the opportunity, not previously afforded to them, at investing in their skills to build a means of earning an independent living and improve their social economic status, both at home and in their community.

Our lending efforts are currently focused in four prominent districts of Nepal: Kathmandu, Dolakha, Sindhupalchowk and Nuwakot.

In the last 14 years we have provided over 22,000 Micro-Credit loans and have a 99 % repayment rate. The program is made up of over 3,933 women groups with over 20,000 members.

Our loans have assisted in various areas of entrepreneuship from dhaka development to recycled plastic handicrafting as well as vegetable farming and banana fiber manufacturing. Here are a few beneficiary stories.
